Rejoice


Rejoice O my Soul Rejoice, always be glad
You have so many reasons not to be sad
Look up to the might heavens and you will see
What all our Lord has done for you and me

You are alive, you are breathing
This is only his grace, this is his blessing
He died on the cross, this was his eternal love
He gave us the new covenant as he rose above

The new covenant that bought in grace and mercy
Without it our future would have been chancy
It was his blood that wiped our heretical slate clean
Oh! What a sacrifice, a crop made ready for us to glean

Though the times seem unrelenting
Situations around us can be unnerving
Rejoice as you sing to him in songs and psalms
As you worship his majesty see how is calms your qualms

His never-ending grace in our life is all we need
It’s a free gift for his children it’s not obtained by deed
Always look us to the cross when you feel devoid of meaning
Your life will change at once his light in your life will be gleaming

Come to his throne of grace, humble and contrite
Do this as a necessity and all in your life will excite
Again, I say Rejoice O my Soul Rejoice
For me there is no other way, I don’t have a choice
